The world has been ever changed by the COVID pandemic and the last-mile transportation industry has been upended. We’ve watched other major board companies like Boosted say their farewells, our major supply chains close their doors for months, and Amazon drastically shift how they handle product shipments.
And through all this, the most affected person is you, our awesome Elos rider family. Most of you have done your part in social distancing even at the expense of your outdoor time. Many of us who made Elos part of our daily routine have felt slight withdraws not being able to ride around each day. But, when it’s for the best, we all do our best.
The Elos offices have chugged on. Certain members of our team have taken time off to be home with families or staggered our working days to stay healthy. This has been a time of experimentation for us…this newsletter included. We’ve always enjoyed interacting with loyal Elos riders over the years and discussed a way to keep a more consistent channel of communication open. Now that in-person meetups are not the wisest idea, we’ve turned back to the internet to keep in touch.
Over the next few months we’ll be sending out stories of riders, a bit of the history of Elos, and other interesting news we’ve picked up along the way. We are even updating many of our “how-to” videos to train a whole new generation of skateboarders right in their living room. We hope that many of you will take this opportunity to reach out and let us know what you’d like to see or what we can share with you during this time.
